Do you want to work with Communication and Youth Participation and Influence in politics?

Green Forum is a political foundation with the mission to accelerate the transition to sustainable democratic societies. We do this by supporting Green Political organisations and parties as well as actors who work for green principles in political systems. We collaborate with partners in Eastern Europe, Africa, and Latin America.

To our office in Stockholm, Green Forum is looking for a colleague who wants to work with youth participation and influence in politics in Africa and Eastern Europe. In addition, you will be responsible for Green Forum’s communication on all platforms.

We are looking for someone who are enthusiastic about strengthening democracy through youth participation and influence. You will be responsible for and lead our Program for Young Politicians in Africa (PYPA) in Zambia and Malawi as well as our green youth network in Eastern Europe. As a Program Manager you are responsible for the whole chain from writing applications to assessing outcome plans, budgets and monitoring, follow-up, and audits. The work includes travels to Africa and Eastern Europe and requires that you are fluent in English. You will also take a leading role in developing and implementing Green Forum’s communication work where we have recently developed a marcom plan, new graphic profile, logo, and website.

We are a great small team, building the organisation together. This means that we all take responsibility for various tasks at the office and internal processes.

Tasks:

  • Coordinate the organisation’s communication work including website management, brand development, and content creation and management across social media platforms
  • Project management and project development including application writing
  • Partner management, organizational assessment and development
  • Capacity development, arranging and facilitating workshops
  • Budgeting, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting
  • Assessing partners’ financial statements, audit reports and supporting documentation
  • Organisational development, process design, procedures and policies
  • Responsible for the organisation’s risk management including anti-corruption

We are

Looking for you with relevant academic education, in e.g. political science, international development, international relations, sustainable development, economics or similar and at least three years of experience in similar work. We see that you have worked with international cooperation and/or project-funded activities, preferably with party development including youth and women’s participation and influence. We believe that you are passionate and well-versed in various digital communication channels.

You should

  • Have experience in working with communication preferably with proven skills in graphic design and social media, including work with Canva, InDesign, Adobe, WordPress, etc
  • Have experience in project development and management including planning, monitoring learning and evaluation, Theory of Change, risk assessments etc.
  • Have experience in capacity development
  • Have experience of partner follow-up, organizational assessments, and capacity development of partners
  • Have experience with contract compliance as well as internal governance and control
  • Speak and write English fluently. Our working language is English.
  • Have good interpersonal skills

Merit

  • Experience working with youth political participation and influence
  • Experience in web development
  • Good knowledge of Swedish

The position is placed in Stockholm, permanent, 100% with 6 months probationary period. Green Forum is a fundraising foundation affiliated with the Green Party in Sweden. At Green Forum, we apply a 35-hour working week at full-time. International travel is a part of the position.
